StorageMB (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides secure cloud storage services through https://storagemb.com, https://cloud.storagemb.com, and https://billing.storagemb.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: name, email address, phone number, and account credentials.
- Billing Information: billing address and subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or CVV.
- Customer Content: files and data you upload to our cloud service, plus associated metadata (file size, timestamps, device/app information).
- Security & Access Logs: IP address, login attempts, device/browser identifiers, and security events.
- Communications Data:
- SMS metadata (sender/recipient, timestamps, delivery status) — we do not store SMS message content.
- Call metadata (timestamps, duration, routing info) and call recordings (when enabled).
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the service (authentication, storage, syncing, and account management)
- Process subscriptions, invoices, and payments
- Enforce storage quotas and plan limits
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Provide account-related notifications (email/SMS/voice as applicable)
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies
SMS and Voice Communications
We may send non-marketing SMS and place calls for:
- Account alerts
- Security verification codes
- Billing notices and reminders
We do not send marketing SMS. Consent is required for SMS and automated calls. Opt-out instructions are provided in our SMS Terms & Conditions page.
Data Retention
We retain information only as long as needed:
- Security logs: 30 days
- SMS metadata: 60 days (no SMS content stored)
- Call metadata: 60 days
- Call recordings: 30 days
- After account closure: customer data is deleted within 30 days (you may export data before deletion)
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Service providers used to operate communications (SMS/voice) and infrastructure/security
We share only what is necessary to provide the services and protect users.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- Encryption at rest
- Access controls and least-privilege administration
- Monitoring, logging, and abuse prevention controls
No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we continuously improve our security posture.
Children’s Privacy
StorageMB accounts are not intended for children under 13 without verified parental consent.
